Entrepreneurship is a mindset that can be developed by any student who aspires to become an employer. The increasing demand and recognition for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for ensuring the welfare of the society and economic growth of an individual have motivated this great leap forward to promote the Entrepreneurship Development Cell. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in the college was inaugurated on 3rd February, 2007 by Sri. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, CEO InfoTech Enterprises. With proper motivation, Entrepreneurship can be inculcated into the minds of young professionals. Thus this Cell aims to foster Techno-entrepreneurship more systematically and comprehensively with a focus on incubating all feasible ventures through technology intervention.

Mission:“To develop and act as the core facility in fostering growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty and students of Pragati Engineering College and promote entrepreneurial culture in the college.”

 

Objectives:

  • To act as central facility for providing various services including information on all aspects of enterprise building to prospective entrepreneurs from the students and alumni of Pragati Engineering College.

  • To create Entrepreneurial culture in Pragati Engineering College and other institutions in the region.

  • To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects.

  • To catalyze and promote development of S&T knowledge-based enterprises and promote employment opportunities in the innovative areas.

  • To assist prospective entrepreneurs in preparation of project reports.

  • To provide incubation facility to student entrepreneurs.

    •  Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP)

    • Faculty Development Programs (FDP)

    •  Skill Development Programs (SDP)

  3. To assist students in starting Enterprises/Industries covering:

    • Product/Service Identification

    • Market Survey

    • Preparation of Project Reports

    • Financial Assistance

To develop Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Centers
