Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2001 for imparting a state-of the- art and quality education, training and research in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and allied areas. The department offers a Bachelor’s programme with an initial intake of 60 students in the year 2001 and a current intake 240 students from the academic year 2024. The department also offers a Master’s programme in VLSI System Design with an intake of 9 students.

Well Equipped labs and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded not only to serve the purpose of the curriculum prescribed but also facilitate to carry out innovative projects to challenge the fast-changing needs of the society besides undertaking R&D activities in various fields. We provide a very informal atmosphere between faculty and students. Faculty members of our department are not only engaged in trending technology research but are also very passionate about teaching and learning process.

Faculty and students of ECE are encouraged to do NPTEL certifications in various subjects and few of them got Top 1%, Top 2% and Top 5% and many got ELITE.
