PRAGATI ENGINEERING COLLEGE  (PEC) is an autonomous engineering college established in the year 2001 as the flagship institution under the aegis of Gayatri Educational Society by Dr.Paruchuri Krishna Rao with a vision to provide qualitative technical education accessible and affordable to aspiring students. The college offers 09 undergraduate and 04 postgraduate programmes with a strength of 4857 students. Pragati Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). PEC College is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology. Pragati Engineering College is permanently affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada. The campus is spread over a lush green area of 25.2 acres.
